The new Multistrada V4 Rally is the ideal travel companion in all conditions, as easy and intuitive in the urban jungle as it is on the most daring off-road routes. High-performance, robust and reliable thanks to the V4 Granturismo engine, it will carry you wherever your adventurous heart desires.
Production of the Multistrada V4 Rally is underway at the Ducati factory in Borgo Panigale: the first motorcycle (in the case of the V4 S) to use front and rear radar technology. An all new V4 powerplant designed for the Multistrada V4 Rally. This 4th generation Multistrada, V4 Rally marks an epochal turning point for the Bologna-based motorcycle manufacturer.
With an adjustable stock seat height from 870mm, able to rise to 890mm the Multistrada V4 Rally is suitable for all riders. And if this isn’t enough, with the use of a “Low Seat” accessory option you will achieve the lowest seat height of 825mm, and up to 905mm using a high seat. A lowered suspension kit is also available meaning this bike can be as low as 805mm when paired with the low seat option B.
The Multistrada V4 Rally comes with Ducati Skyhook Suspension EVO, Ducati Quick Shift, Cruise control, Vehicle hold control, Hands-Free, Backlit handlebar switches, 6,5″ TFT color display with Ducati Connect and full-map navigation system, Full LED headlight with DRL, Engine Brake Control (EBC), Extended Cylinder Deactivation (ECD).

The durability and robustness of the Granturismo V4 engine allow for significantly longer service intervals. The oil change is scheduled every 15,000 km, and the valve clearance check and eventual adjustment every 60,000 km.
For the rider, these numbers mean just one thing – more time to enjoy the ride.
Intervention relating to the air flow in the central and lower sections of the bike and the engine management strategy reduce heat transfer to the rider. The new design of the front end significantly improves acoustic comfort, also when riding two-up. The elongated tail piece and rearward case attachment offer the passenger more room.
The sleek surfaces, flowing design and volume difference between the front and rear, remain the highly characteristic elements that in the new Multistrada V4 Rally reach completely new quality and finishing standards. All of this combined with the much more compact and versatile new V4 engine, has allowed for a massive leap forward in rider experience.
A bike that is unstoppable thanks to its new 30-litre aluminium tank and new Ducati Skyhook Suspension Evolution semi-active suspension. Even more comfortable thanks to the increased passenger space and sophisticated aerodynamics development.

For the fourth generation of the Multistrada, a new version has evolved. Multistrada V4 Rally.
Ducati has developed a new, light and compact V4 engine, designed to meet the needs required for “adventouring” use without neglecting emotion and sportiness.
The complete redesign made it possible to reach record-breaking maintenance intervals for the world of two wheels. Valve clearance intervals have been increased to 36,000 miles (One and a half times around the world) and oil change intervals are now 9,000 or every two years. Add to this the 4 year, Europe wide unlimited mileage warranty to give you the knowledge that this bike is truly built to do the distance.
The all new V4 Granturismo engine is both smaller and lighter than the previous L-twin 1260 Multistrada engine – 85mm shorter, 95mm height reduction with only 20mm increase in width (weight loss 1.2kg). This has meant that the compact layout allows more flexibility of the housing of the engine in the frame, more effectively and centrally to positively influence the position of the bike’s center of gravity. Add to this the proven benefits of the counter clockwise rotation of the crankshaft that works to negate the centrifugal forces of the wheels, aiding fast directional changes as well as reducing squat and helping to reduce front wheel lift.
The benefits offered by this all new engine plant are enormous. Not only in the vastly improved power delivery, but in chassis agility and not least the ongoing cost of maintenance – All delivered with 4 years peace of mind.

Near limitless settings
The four Riding Modes, Sport, Touring, Urban and Enduro together with the brand new Off-Road Power Mode, mean that the Multistrada V4 Rally is at home in the city but even more so on remote, open roads. Each riding mode incorporates dedicated engine, suspension and electronic control settings.
The Power Modes allow for management of the engine delivery and power, a function that comes into its own on more insidious routes.

Including blind spot detection
Easy low-speed riding and manoeuvring from a standstill
Multistrada V4 Rally features two new functions designed to facilitate low-speed riding and manoeuvring from a standstill. The Minimum Preload allows suspension preload to be reduced to zero lowering the bike.
Adaptive Cruise Control: long distances without fatigue
The front radar, perfectly integrated into the front end of the Multistrada V4 Rally, controls the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) function.
Blind Spot Detection: all-encompassing safety
The rear radar, positioned under the light, can detect vehicles located in the so-called blind spot, or rather the area that the rider cannot see directly or in the rear-view mirror
Ducati Cornering Lights: even greater visibility
The Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally is equipped as standard with full LED lights and a front headlight complete with DRL and Cornering Lights. The rear light integrates the Ducati Brake Light function.

RADAR: The Radar trim introduces front and rear radar to implement the Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection functions.

FULL: The Full Adventure trim raises the set-up of your Multistrada Rally to the max, with an Akrapovic silencer and carbon front mudguard.

Fuel optimisation - a step further
A valve clearance interval of 36,000 miles and a scheduled oil change every 9,000 miles means only two things – more time to enjoy the ride and less cost involved.
In addition to shutting off the rear cylinders at idle when the bike is stationary, the new deactivation strategy extends to the entire rear bank even at low speeds, when the engine speed and torque demand from the accelerator are low. This unique technological innovation of the V4 Granturismo is cleverly designed for great travellers: it increases range and improves thermal comfort for rider and passenger.
