The Evolution of Speed
Redesigned look
The look of the bike has been revamped, with a further dose of aggressive flavour. The unprecedented graphic design conceived by the Ducati Centro Stile includes the black colour for the logos applied to the full red fairings.
The 2022 version of the Ducati Panigale V4 boosts performance even further and takes track riding to the next level for amateurs and pros alike. A series of refinements make for an easier, more user-friendly, less fatiguing ride while simultaneously making the bike faster not just on individual laps but over entire timed sessions. The Aero Pack provides enhanced airflow protection and improves overall vehicle stability, enhancing confidence. The Front Frame, instead, modifies stiffness to give better front-end ‘feel’ at extreme lean angles. Ducati and Ducati Corse engineers have crunched the feedback/data numbers from customers all over the world and Superbike World Championship events. Their analysis has led to a series of aerodynamic, chassis, electronic control and Ride by Wire mapping changes: designed to increase stability and turn-in speed, these changes make it easier to close corners and ensure riders enjoy more confident throttle control. Not only do we see new graphics for 2022, but better downforce with less drag is offered by the new improved wings, further rider protection and improved ergonomics.
The Superbike concept with Ducati is simple to follow. Where beneficial changes are made on the world’s racetracks, we as end users benefit from the regular updates applied to the latest road machines. However small the gain, the combination of several small changes can be staggering. The 2023 Ducati Panigale V4 is living evidence of this.
Co-developed by Ducati Corse and the Ducati Style Center, the Ducati Panigale V4 aerodynamics package now mirrors that of the Panigale V4 R. The result; fairings that – in true Panigale style – meet official Ducati Superbike requirements in full. As in MotoGP, aerodynamic development involved a series of preliminary CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) studies, followed by optimisation on a full-scale wind tunnel model. The new Plexiglas screen – higher and more angled – provides better airflow protection for riders, especially in the helmet and upper shoulder areas. The screen works in concert with a new nose fairing that is higher and wider (+15 mm per side) in the arm-shield zone to reduce arm and shoulder-induced drag on the straights. The lateral fairings have been widened considerably (+38 mm per side) with the dual aim of reducing on-rider airflow impact and maximising aerofoil efficiency. On the sides, the stylish air vents of the Panigale V4 have been replaced by more efficient ones that increase air through-speeds on water and oil radiators by 6% and 16% respectively.
Thanks to the racing advances, small adjustments and some bigger advancements in technical knowledge have allowed for another step forwards. True to fashion, if there are improvements to be had, Ducati apply them. Welcome to the Panigale V4 2023.
New changes for top performances
Specially developed Ride by Wire system mappings with several torque delivery control settings.
The heart of the bike is represented by 1,103 cm3 Desmosedici Stradale MotoGP-derived, which has undergone a series of updates. The Desmosedici Stradale completes a further evolution for 2022, thanks to the introduction of some dedicated technical elements that allow an increase of power together with an instant throttle response.
The Desmosedici Stradale delivers 215.5 hp at 13,000 rpm, with a power increase of 1.5 hp compared to the previous version, which rises to 2.5 hp over the peak of maximum power at 14,500 rpm. The engine also delivers a torque of 123.6 Nm (12.6 kgm) at 9,500 rpm, and already from 6,000 rpm it provides 80% of the maximum torque available.
The Less - The Batter
If it's not functonal...It does not exist on a Panigale!!
The Desmosedici Stradale is a stressed element of the chassis and the aluminum front frame is directly connected to it. The chassis is completed by the lightweight magnesium front frame and the seat post made of shell cast aluminum, fixed at the top to the front frame and screwed below to the head of the rear cylinder bank.

This years race bike tchnology is next year's production!
The Panigale V4 and V4 S are equipped with a state of the art electronic package. Using the 6-axis inertial platform that instantaneously detects roll, yaw and pitch angles, all rider-assistance controls intervene accurately according to the bike’s position in space.
On the 2023 version of Panigale V4 and Panigale V4 S, the breakthrough comes in the form of the adoption of an updated electronic package, capable of further enhancing riding feel and performance on the track. Major interventions relate to the release of new Engine Brake Control EVO 2 software, improvements in Ducati Quick Shift, and a new cooling fan control strategy. The updates are complemented by refinements to Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Ride by Wire strategies
All of this is commincated to the rider through the re-designed and heavily updated TFT dasboard.
Control is everyting
A bit of comfort does't go amiss either!
Ergonomics has been a core focus of in-depth development with the aim of improving the control of the bike during track sessions and to allow the rider to get the most ot of the Panigale V4’s performance, both on a single lap and heavy use on the track.
The main changes ?….
Seat
The saddle has now a flatter shape and an improved coating, which grants easier movement of the rider’s body and reduces the rider’s tendency to move forward when braking.
Tank
This latest version has a completely new tank. The new surfaces of the seat and the tank mean the rider can anchor themselves better to the bike with their legs, both while hanging off and when braking.
New double-profile-design wings
Better Cooling
The latest Panigale V4 feautures a new fairing, which now integrates more compact and thinner double-profile design wings with increased efficiency: this update guarantees the same vertical load, up to 37 kg at 300 km/h.
The lower section of the fairing features redesigned air exhaust ways to improve the cooling system and, as a consequence, the so also improving the performance of the engine, most noteable during racetrack days.
