Monster Design
Evolution
The iconic, timeless styling of the Monster enters a new era with an evolved, contemporary design. It retains its 1993 DNA: the engine as the undisputed star at center stage, topped by the unmistakable bison-back tank, with the circular headlight recessed into the shoulders and the clean, streamlined tail. But in a more modern, sporty and technological guise, designed to enhance the personality of the bike and maximize the enjoyment of those who ride it.
The all new Ducati Monster has been re-designed from the ground up. Versatile usability is the ethos behind the changes that have been made. The dry weight of this new Ducati Monster has been pared down to a mere 166kg. Achieved with the use of a super lightweight cast and extruded aluminium monocoque frame (-4.5kg), its glass fibre reinforced polymer subframe (-1.9kg), lighter engine (-2.4kg), lightweight cast aluminium wheel rims (-1.7kg) and re-engineered rear swingarm (-1.6kg), the overall package finishes with a super light, super agile middlewight naked bike. Now for the plusses that make this Ducati Monster so sophisticated. Full colour TFT dash, LED lights all round (headlight features day time running light) including LED sweeping, self cancelling indicators, radial front brake and clutch master cyclinders, Brembo 320mm discs with M4.32 calipers. It has riding modes, cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, launch control and an up & down quickshifter.

Ducati Monster “Best Small Naked” in the 2021 MCN Awards along with Ducati getting the “Manufacturer of the year” accolade.
Ducati really wanted to broaden its audience for the Monster. Seat height starts at 820mm but can be reduced to 800 or 775mm with a couple of accessory options. The narrow seat and bodywork ensure that these seat heights translate into real benefits for the rider. The Ducati Monster now offers a more upright riding position with considerably more leg room for added comfort. Steering angle has increased massively, making low speed manouvering a doddle. The 18kg in weight saving has ensured that the new Ducati Monster is in perfect harmony with the road, the new Monster is capable of conveying pleasant riding sensations, easy, confidence inspiring, supported by advanced technology and the specially designed ergonomics of this model.
The volumes, silhouette, tank and headlight characterise the design of the Monster and remain true to the original lines of the bike born in 1993 while revisiting them with a modern flair. The iconic tank becomes more angular, other features such as the tail end becoming sharper, none the less, this is unmistakably Monster. Still maintaining that aggressive swagger that this iconic motorcycle has had for over 25 years.
The design of the new Monster is exactly what you might expect from the sport naked par excellence, but in an even more cutting-edge and modern guise. Slinky yet aggressive curves. Classic details with a modern twist. A design that aims to offer pure Monster-style emotion.

Driving Pleasure
The feeling of contral
Such modern Monster deserves a first-rate electronics kit. The standard equipment includes fully-adjustable ABS Cornering, Traction Control, Wheelie Control.
This electronic equipment allows the bike’s performance to be expressed with a high degree of active safety.
Like all the latest generation Ducati bikes, the new Monster takes advantage of the Ride-by-Wire technology for the dynamic control systems of the bike, to compose the Riding Modes that modify the character of the bike adapting it to the road conditions and/or the rider’s riding skill.
LED All Round
Unmissable
Headlight and indicators
The new full LED headlamp, with its modern lines and technological look, is equipped with the daytime running light system that guarantees excellent visibility, near and far.
The new LED turn signals ensure a rider remains visible and heighten safety with their auto-off function, which prevents them blinking for too long if left on. The rear light is also LED, so that the rider is always easily identifiable, even at a distance and in full daylight.
Traction Control
Wheelie Control & More...
The Ducati Traction Control (DTC) system acts as a smart “filter” between accelerator and the rear tyre. It lets the rider select one of 8 different intervention levels. Each of the 3 Riding Modes has default DTC levels but these can be personalised to suit individual riders’ styles and road conditions.
The Launch Control system also makes use of the Wheelie Control, the control that allows the bike to accelerate to the maximum while detecting any front wheel lift. This attitude is managed electronically, improving riding safety but, at the same time, ensuring the best possible acceleration performance. Furthermore, Wheelie Control is independently adjustable from other control systems.
Ducati Up / Down Quickshifter
Mobile Connectivity
Available as standard on the new Monster the Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) up/down, a race-derived electronic system, lets riders up-change without using the clutch. This system not only boosts the enjoyment of sports riding but it also lends a welcome hand in city traffic or on winding roads requiring frequent gear changes.
The Monster instrument panel is embellished by a 4.3” colour TFT display. Its graphics comes from the Panigale V4 and offers useful on-board information. In the centre of the screen rev counter and currently selected gear are shown. Even air temperature and fuel level are immediately readable. This device it is also predisposed to display information from the Ducati Multimedia System (DMS), which allows to connect the smartphone to the motorcycle via Bluetooth module (available as an accessory) and to manage some functions via the buttons positioned on the handlebar. The display shows the “music player” commands, the headset connection status icons, incoming call as well as message received alert icons.
