The Multistrada V4 – The first motorcycle to use front and rear radar technology. An all new V4 powerplant designed for the Multistrada. This 4th generation Multistrada V4 marks an epochal turning point for the Bologna-based motorcycle manufacturer.
With a seat height from 810mm with the use of a “Low Seat” accessory option (That still has 50mm of foam) to 875mm using a high seat. The Multistrada V4 S over and above the base V4 model comes as standard with auto levelling Skyhook suspension, 33omm discs with Stylema Brembo calipers, a 6.5 inch TFT full colour dashboard with “Ducati Connect”, cornering full LED headlights, hands free ignition system, vehicle hold control (hill start assist), cruise conrol and DQS (quick shifter) Up and Down.
Now with a 22 litre fuel tank, you really can be ready to do the distance!!

The optional radar positioned in the front of the vehicle controls the operation of the ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control), which by means of controlled braking and acceleration automatically adjusts the distance (selectable on four levels) from other vehicles when riding at a speed between 30 and 160 km/h. The system allows for more comfortable riding, especially on long motorway journeys.
The rear radar, on the other hand, is able to detect and report vehicles positioned in the so-called blind spot. The BSD (Blind Spot Detection) system also signals vehicles that are approaching at higher speed from behind potentially allowing for evasive action to be taken.
Add to that the ability to have an exceptional satellite navigation system displayed in the bike dashboard, the option of heated handlebar grips and seats to be factory fitted. A to B can be achieved easily, safely and in comfort.
The sleek surfaces, flowing design and volume difference between the front and rear remain the highly characteristic elements that in the new Multistrada V4 reach completely new quality and finishing standards. All of this combined with the much more compact and versatile new V4 engine has allowed for a massive leap forward in rider experience.

All New V4 engine specific to Multistrada
The heart is the strongest muscle
For the fourth generation of the Multistrada, Ducati has developed a new, light and compact V4 engine, designed to meet the needs required for “adventouring” use without neglecting emotion and sportiness.
The complete redesign made it possible to reach record-breaking maintenance intervals for the world of two wheels. Valve clearance intervals have been increased to 37,500 miles (One and a half times around the world) and oil change intervals are now 9,375 or every two years. Add to this the 4 year, Europe wide unlimited mileage warranty to give you the knowledge that this bike is truly built to do the distance.
The all new V4 Granturismo engine is both smaller and lighter than the previous L-twin 1260 Multistrada engine – 85mm shorter, 95mm height reduction with only 20mm increase in width (weight loss 1.2kg). This has meant that the compact layout allows more flexibility of the housing of the engine in the frame, more effectively and centrally to positively influence the position of the bike’s center of gravity. Add to this the proven benefits of the counter clockwise rotation of the crankshaft that works to negate the centrifugal forces of the wheels, aiding fast directional changes as well as reducing squat and helping to reduce front wheel lift.
The benefits offered by this all new engine plant are enormous. Not only in the vastly improved power delivery, but in chassis agility and not least the ongoing cost of maintenance – All delivered with 4 years peace of mind.
