New changes for top performances

A Model Specific Engine

Powered by a brand new heart

Desmosedici Stradale R1100
• The heart of the new Superleggera is a new engine, not shared with any other model in the range.
• The Desmosedici Stradale R1100 is the R engine whose displacement is increased to 1.103-cc (vs998cc)
• The engine is 3.6kg/8lb lighter than that of the 1,103-cc engine of the Panigale V4 (withdryclutch) mainly thanks to a superlight cranktrain.
• The use of titanium screws (-0.9kg/-2lb) and lightweight componentry contribute to a chieve the total weight saving.

Titanium made exhaust system

• The new engine features larger manifolds (∅41.7mm vs 40mm) made in titanium that work in concert with the road-legal Akrapovič silencer
• The full titanium racing system by Akrapovič is included in the Racing Kit. It makes the bike -3kg/-6.6lb lighter and boosts power to 247hp (with Ducati Corse Performance Oil)

Main performance data

• OEM configuration (EU5-specs): 228hp, the highest power level of the sportbike segment
• OEM configuration (USspecs): homologation still in progress
• Full racing configuration (racing exhaust + Ducati Corse Performance Oil): 247hp, very close to the power level of the Panigale V4 RSBK.

Performance meets mechanical art

Super light crank train
• The 1,103-cc displacement is achieved lengthening the stroke from 48.41 mm to 53.5 mm with dedicated new crankshaft and titanium connecting rods
• The two rings type pistons are dedicated too with a bigger diameter pin due to the increased performance
• The crank train’s weight is reduced by –1.6kg/-3.5lb vs Panigale V4 one mainly thanks to a lighter crankshaft (-1.1kg/-2.4lb) thanks to the use of high-density tungsten counterweight plugs instead of using large steel counterweights

998-cc R engine’s cylinder heads

• The engine uses the same cylinder heads as the R engine with performance-oriented fluid dynamic
• Ø34mm intake valves made in titanium, Ø27.5mm exhaust ones in steel. All the sixteen valves feature titanium half-cones, a solution usually adopted only on racing bikes
• The exhaust camshafts are dedicated to meet homologation standard without reducing performance

Dedicated intake system

• The engine breathes through oval throttle bodies of Ø56mm equivalent (the same as the 998-cc R engine)
• Unlike 998-cc R engine the throttle bodies are connected to fixed-height in take trumpets rather than a variable-length intake system
• The fixed-height trumpets maximize engine top performance and reduce throttle body weight by 0.6kg/1.3lb.

Desmodromic Timing Manually Set

• The exclusivity of this engine is underlined by the Desmodromic timing being manually set by hand.
• On the Superleggera V4 the Desmodromic system timing procedure is performed manually by an expert
• Once all required tests have been completed, he certifies the positive outcome by signing the metallic plate that embellishes the rear cylinder bank.

Gearbox

Racing Formation

Ducati Neutral Lock

Gearbox & Transmission

Ducati Racing Gearbox with Ducati Neutral Lock

•Desmosedici Stradale R1100 is equipped with the Ducati Racing Gearbox (DRG) which sees neutral positioned beneath first gear, rather than between first and second, to ensure sufficient engine brake in the final and most delicate phase of braking when entering a first gear corner.
• The absence of neutral between first and second also ensures quicker, smoother and more repeatable shifting between these two gears with respect to a gearbox with road configuration.
• To prevent accidental downshifting from first to neutral, the gearbox features the patented Ducati Neutral Lock (DNL), which can be deactivated using the dedicated lever on the right semi-handlebar.
• To engage neutral, the rider must carry out the same actions as official riders in MotoGP and Superbike.

Final transmission

• Rear wheel drive is performed by a DID ER V7, the top-of-the-line racing chain, utilized by factory teams worldwide.
• It turns an aluminium (Ergal) rearsprocket (Z40); compared to those on the Panigale V4,
• Racing chain and Ergal crown reduce weight by 0.69kg

Aerodynamics

Designed by the wind

.....and a lot of experience.

Designed by the wind

Racing aero package

• The aerodynamic package of the Superleggera V4 Centenario is fully derived from Ducati Corse racing experience and is designed to maximize stability, braking performance, and cornering precision at high speed
• It is the same homologated for the 2026 World SBK Championship, it includes high-efficiency wings and side pods designed to generate down force even when the motorcycle is leaned into a corner.

Carbon fibre bodywork

• The fairing is made entirely of carbon fibre partially left exposed to emphasize the material.
•Not only the fairings but many of the vehicle components normally made of plastic have been built in carbon fibre to maximise weight reduction and offers eye-catching attention to detail.
• Riders who use the bike on the road will appreciate the new license-plate holder, made of carbon fibre, and -0.2kg/-0.44lb lighter
• Complementing the carbon fibre components are billet aluminium elements such as the iconic radiator fillercap, and the fuel tank cap (available as additional equipment)

Chassis

Carbon Fibre Everywhere!!

Without Comprimise.

The carbon fibrecomponents that make magic

Front Frame fully-made in carbon fiber

• The Front Frame is fully-made in carbon fibre that in comparison with the already-light aluminium alloy Front Frame of the Panigale V4, provides a weight saving by 17% (-0.6kg/-1.3lb)
• For the new Superleggera V4, further reduced stiffness targets have been tested and approved compared to those of the Panigale V4 to deliver even more grip at the maximum lean angle, and superior tendence to close the line.

Brand new fully-made swingarm

• The Desmosedici GP inspired shape allows to achieve the lowest possible weight while maintaining equivalent stiffness
• To achieve maximum weight reduction, an advanced male-mould carbon-layup process is employed.
• Derived from top-level motorsport applications, this method enables the creation of a truly monolithic component with a significantly higher stiffness-to-weight ratio compared with a conventional female-mould layup.
• As a result, the carbon-fibre swingarm is 21% lighter (–1.1kg/-2.4lb) while maintaining basically the same stiffness levels as the aluminium version

Meticulous attention to detail

• But Ducati weren’t satisfied so they worked harder to reduce the weight o f all the other chassis components
• The carbon fibre wheels of the Panigale V4 are now even lighter (-0.3kg/-0.7lb), the front sub-frame provides a weight reduction of –0.2kg/-0.44lb, the weight of the single-seat rear sub-frame drops by –1.4kg/-3.1lb
• Complementing the carbon fibre components are billet aluminium elements such   as the new footrest plates (-16% weight vs Panigale V4), and the top and lower triple clamps.

Brakes

A New Innovation For The Road

State Of The Art

Brembo Hyction carbon ceramic discs

Hyction is the first carbon-ceramic brake disc by Brembo designed for road-going sport bikes

• Hyction turns Hyper Performance into pure Action, delivering a braking behaviour that sets a new benchmark

Brembo GP4 HY machined from solid callipers

Brand new GP4 HY radial monobloc calliper completes the system

• The GP4 HY are machined from a solid block of aluminium, and nickel plated as in MotoGP
• They are thermally optimized, thanks to integrated cooling fins
• They have differentiated racing pistons (30–34mm)

Amplified callipers with anti-drag system to deliver more power under braking and zero drag when released
• The callipers incorporate an oblique pad slide which amplifies the braking power with the same amount of force applied to the lever
• Integrated into the amplified calliper, the anti-drag system consists of a special spring that instantly retracts the pads whenever the rider is not braking, completely freeing the disc
• The anti-drag system ensures absolute smoothness during release, preventing the pads from maintaining even the slightest contact with the disc
• Specific brakepads: the pads are specifically developed to interact ideally with the disc’s carbon ceramic surface

The callipers are driven by the Brembo MCS 19-21 mastercylinder completed with Multiple Click System and remote adjuster

Brembo 223 x 4.5 mm floating rear brake disc

The rear system is completed by a floating steel disc
• The rear disc features a racing derived solution
• Benefits: reduced dimensions, lower weight, and improved thermal management, ensuring precise and controlled braking

Main technical data

• Floating steel disc with aluminum bell
• Dimensions: 223×4.5mm (vs 225mm of the Panigale V4)
• Weight saving –0.2kg/-0.44lb vs Panigale V4’s rear disc
