The Pikes Peak International Hillclimb is an annual car and motorcycle hillclimb in Colorado, USA. The now tarmac track measures 12.42 miles and has over 156 turns, climbing from the start line altitude of 9,389 ft (2,862 m) to 14,100 ft  (4,300 m) at the finish at with grades averaging 7%.

2013 sees the this famous Pikes Peak or 'Race to the Clouds' event won by the Ducati Multistrada 1200 for the fourth year running in the 1205 category by French privateer racer, Bruno Langlois, who after taking third place last year on a Ducati Streetfighter, vowed to return for the victory.
            
The Ducati Multistrada 1200 features a unique “4-bikes-in-1” character by combining the technologies of Ride-by-Wire, Ducati Electronic Suspension, Ducati Traction Control and ABS into the four Riding Modes of Sport, Touring, Urban and Enduro. The modes, which can be pre-programmed with personalized settings, enable the rider to transform the motorcycle at the touch of a button, even while riding.

This touch-button versatility was further enhanced for 2013 with the introduction of Ducati Skyhook Suspension, now proven perfect for the Pikes Peak event as well as impressing Multistrada owners all over the world.

Pikes Peak began in 1916, making it the second oldest motorsport event in the USA and this year the overall winner out all the motorcycle categories was Carlin Dunne on an electric-powered Lightning superbike!
