Get Closer to the ZX-10RR

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR is now the closest that you can get to the current World Superbike winning (and runner up) KRT machine, as ridden by Tom Sykes and Jonathan Rae.

From 2019, the rev range is increased by 600 RPM, The engine now benefits from the much lighter titanium con rods and the valve train now utilises a new “finger follower” system as opposed to bucket and shim control.

Over and above the exceptional features that are available on the standard Kawasaki ZX10R, the ZX10RR comes with super light weight Marchesini 7 spoke wheel rims adorned with the very latest in Pirelli’s supersport portfoilio, the Diablo Supercorsa.

The combination of a lightweight tyre and wheel has the huge benefit of decreasing unsprung weight which drastically reduces inertia allowing for faster and more accurate turning capability. It is all about hitting the apex.

The combination of these married to the balance free big piston forks, the petal discs, M50 Brembo monobloc calipers with the latest Bosch race ABS and the sweet 4 cyclinder power plant that produces in excess of 200 bhp, the ZX10RR really is a force to be reckoned with.

It is not only chassis modifications that have been made on the Kawasaki ZX10RR but Kawasaki have transposed the proven engine modifications from the World Championship winning machine directly to the engine of this production road bike.

The Kawasaki ZX10RR also comes with a factory fitted quickshifter that operates on both up and down gearshifts. It is sublime.

Although aesthetically very similar to the ZX10R, please note that the Kawasaki ZX10RR is a single seat motorcycle.

One colourway available – What other than Lime Green ??.

This bike is being brought into the UK in small numbers (ie. a limited run production). The majority of these bikes will be destined for the UK race paddocks. If you would like to be one of the few to own one of these rare beasts then we would urge you to give us a call now on 01508 471919.

Cylinder and Crankcase

Modified cylinder head provides the clearance to accommodate race-kit high-lift cams. Reinforced, high-rigidity crankcase offers increase reliability and performance for a race-tuned engine.

Tappets

Tappets based on feedback from Kawasaki’s WSB racing efforts feature a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating, which facilitates mid/long-distance engine break-in, and offers reduced mechanical loss and increased performance for a race-tuned engine.

Marchesini Forged Wheel Rims

7-spoke multi-directional forged aluminium wheels jointly developed with Marchesini contribute to lighter handling – especially when changing direction. They offer a balance of high rigidity and a significantly reduced moment of inertia.

In addition The Ninja ZX-10RR is fit with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres. The high-performance tyres greatly contribute to quicker lap times.

Special RR Touches

Machined “RR” logo engraved into the pulser cover helps distinguish the Ninja ZX-10RR from the crowd. Ignition key adorned with a “RR” logo adds another special touch.

Optimised Suspension Settings

Revised to match the Ninja ZX-10RR’s single-seat specification and new wheels and tyres, new front and rear suspension settings ensure smooth weight transfer during deceleration and acceleration on the circuit. Pitching is kept at a manageable level, resulting in composed behaviour. Complementing the new Pirelli tyres, the suspension settings contribute to the bike’s quicker lap times.

KQS – Kawasaki Quick Shifter

Updated KQS system allows both clutchless upshifts and downshifts, contributing to raceready performance.  Designed for effective sport riding, KQS can also be used on the street.

Aerodynamic Bodywork

Larger upper cowl improves the aerodynamic performance of the machine-rider package, offering a lower cdA (coefficient of drag) than the previous model. The increased wind protection (reduced stress from wind blast) enables riders to change positions more smoothly as they set up for corner entry when riding on the track.

Overview

KRT derived race bike with headlights

Make no mistake here, this is as close as it gets to WSBK.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX10RR is the dedicated homologated bike, purpose built for racing and in numbers sufficient to allow for an entry into World Superbike Championship. As of 2019 they’re limited to 500 units. Bike features all the latest technology and solutions Kawasaki Racing Team co-develops for their race machine. Engine sees extensive use of titanium sub components. Allowing for higher redline and less weight. Electronics and suspension are also more fine tuned for racing purposes.

The track calls and the Ninja ZX-10RR listens.

Design

Function followed by form.

No compromise on performance.

The latest generation Ninja ZX10RR was built upon decades of experience in Superbike manufacturing. Sculpted with the extensive use of wind tunel testing and computer design. This machine is a pinnacle of the decades of Ninja development. From the instantly recognisable bodywork to a large RAM air scoop on the front of the bike the racing DNA oozes from this bike. Sharp lines are accentuated through stunning Kawasaki Green livery, which further highlights the bikes racing pedigree. RR model also features light and beautiful Marchesini Forged wheels.

Engine

Beating Heart of the Ninja

Powerful track weapon, sophisticated, comfortable and easy to ride on the road.

At the centre of the ZX10RR design was its 999cc inline four engine. A change to finger-follower valve actuation and other updates increase the Ninja ZX-10RR’s engine performance. Peak horsepower is higher: now 204 PS, which can easily be augmented care of a full race exhaust. However, the changes benefit performance across the rev range, delivering increased power at all rpm – an advantage for racers as well as World Superbike teams. The changes essentially raise the flat torque curve of the previous model, so the Ninja ZX-10RR’s easy-to-use character is maintained while offering increased power. Complementing the new finger-follower valve actuation, the Ninja ZX-10RR features special high-performance titanium connecting rods designed by Pankl, a company specialising in developing and manufacturing engine and drivetrain components for formula race cars, high performance vehicles and the aerospace industry.
