Ducati Panigale V4 S Corse – The Race Rep

Just like Ducati Panigale V4 S, Corse packs the chassis that’s over and above that of the standard bike. Panigale V4 S Corse comes with Ducati Ohlins Evo electronic suspension front and rear as well as the very lightweight Marchesisi forged alloy wheels.

As with the standard model, the Ducati Panigale V4 S Corse inherits the lean angle sensitive traction control and ABS systems from previous models, these systems are further enhanced with brand new calipers from brembo and the latest algorithms from racing data applied to the traction system. Up and down Ducati Quick Shifter is standard fitment not only on the Panigale V4 Speciale but also on the Panigale V4 S Corse, Panigale V4 S and the standard V4 model.

Again, as per the standard model, the Ducati Panigale V4 S Corse is also blessed with an all new rear brake slide control system that allows the rider to tune the bike to assist with controlled rear wheel steering.

The frame has been redesigned to house the very compact V4 engine and again takes its positioning and balance direct from the GP bike.

The engine that is common throughout the Panigale V4 range is a 90 degree V4 still utilising the Desmodromic valve system that Ducati is so well known for. This positive valve closure does not suffer the lag issues of the conventional spring valve closure ensuring reliability all the way through it’s 14,000 rev range.

This new V4 Ducati Superbike engine utilises a “Big Bang” firing sequence in order to optimise traction when exiting bends.

A counter rotating crankshaft that rotates in the opposite direction to wheel rotation is a trick that has been derived on the MotoGP bikes. The utilisation of this system helps to counteract some of the gyroscopic forces created by the wheels thus enhancing turning speed capabilities. A very useful by product of this is that it also helps reduce the wheelie phenomenon suffered on hard acceleration and rear end lift under heavy rear braking.

Further celebrating its MotoGP heritage the Panigale V4 S Corse is decorated with gorgeous MotoGP inspired unique paint scheme.

For 2019 we will see the road going versions with an 1103cc, engine capacity and staying with tradition, Ducati will unveil the racing Panigale V4 R version with a capacity of under 1000cc a year later ready for the 2019 racing season
