Engine and Performance
• 659cc Superquadro Mono Engine: This single-cylinder, four-valve engine is derived from Ducati’s Panigale 1299 twin-cylinder architecture. It produces approximately 77.5 horsepower and 46.4 lb-ft of torque, making it the most powerful single-cylinder road bike currently available.
• High-Revving Character: With a redline of 10,250 rpm, the engine delivers thrilling performance and a race-inspired feel, ideal for aggressive riding and supermoto-style control.
• Top Speed: Capable of reaching speeds around 125 mph (201 km/h), the Hypermotard 698 Mono offers serious performance in a lightweight package.
Chassis and Handling
• Dry Weight of 151 kg: The bike’s lightweight construction contributes to its agility and responsiveness, especially in urban environments and tight corners.
• Seat Height of 904 mm: Designed for confident riders, the tall seat height supports an upright, commanding riding position typical of supermoto machines.
• 12-Litre Fuel Tank: Offers a practical range of up to 150 miles, balancing performance with everyday usability.
Electronics and Rider Aids
• Ducati Quick Shift (DQS): Fitted to this example, DQS enables clutchless upshifts and downshifts, enhancing acceleration and rider comfort during spirited riding.
• Advanced Electronics Suite: Includes cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, and selectable riding modes. These systems are designed to maximize safety and performance across varied conditions.
Fitted Enhancements
• Genuine Ducati Performance Seat: This upgraded seat improves rider comfort and support, especially during longer rides or aggressive cornering.
• Minimalist Styling: The bike’s design emphasizes simplicity and aggression, with mass-colored Ducati Red plastics and a compact, stripped-down profile.
• Optional RVE Version: While not specified in this example, Ducati also offers a “Graffiti” livery RVE variant with water-based decals inspired by street art.
Design Philosophy
• Supermotard DNA: The Hypermotard 698 Mono is Ducati’s first modern single-cylinder road-going supermotard, built with the sole aim of delivering excitement and control.
• Racing Heritage: The Superquadro Mono engine traces its lineage to Ducati’s Supermono race bike from the 1990s, bringing track-inspired engineering to a street-legal platform.
This 2025 Hypermotard 698 Mono is a focused, high-performance machine that blends Ducati’s racing heritage with supermoto agility. With its lightweight build, advanced electronics, and premium upgrades like DQS and the Ducati Performance seat, it’s designed to deliver an exhilarating ride every time.
