How do you measure this? – Well it starts with purchase cost, goes on to maintenance cost, and then at the end of ownership, how much value you have managed to retain in the bike that you want to dispose of. What is it really worth on re-sale or part exchange?
For more than a decade, the demands of maintenance on a Ducati have reduced exponentially. This is not the case with 4 major brands that we could mention. Then add to that the exceptional residual values that Ducati has demonstrated over at least the last decade, we could demonstrate that if you had bought a Ducati 3-5 years ago, instead of one of these other brands, you could concievably be thousands of pounds better off. And just think of the joy of ownership you could have had!
