The Ducati V2 Range for 2025

For 2025, Ducati developed a new V2 engine. 890cc with around 120 BHP, weighing in at a mere 54 Kilos!!

This engine has for 2025 been introduced into the Streetfighter, Panigale and Multistrada models.

As a dealer, we wondered at what the reaction would be of dropping the Streetfighter and Panigale V2 of 2024 from 160 to 120 bhp. We did not anticipate the result.

The press absolutetely love them. Albeit, this is a Pirelli quote, “Power is nothing without control”, it seems that the reduction in weight, the very responsive engine and geometric balance that this new engine has allowed, the overall package has blown all expectations.

This means that with all of the safety controls such as lean angle traction control, lean angle sensetive ABS, wheelie control along with the multiple ride modes, this bike has suddenly leapt into being a really good contender as a first big bike and as an introduction into the great world of Ducati.

The statement of “will suit new riders and those that have many years of experience” has always rung out as being rather cheesy!. In the case of the new V2 range, nothing has been more true. In the right hands, the new Panigale V2 laps a race track mere seconds behind it’s more powerful pre-decessor!

Did we mention reduced servicing /maintenance costs? – What a move forwards!
