He's a former World Superbike champion four times over and big Ducati fan, now Carl Fogarty is heading to Australia as a contestant on TV’s reality show I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

The now familiar show is hosted by Ant and Dec and is well known for making celebrities perform challenges to earn their food, while eating delicacies that range from grubs to kangaroos parts!

Swapping his helmet for a bush hat and corks, Foggy says 'The competitive spirit will set in and I will be very competitive to get all the stars.  Motorbike racing is scary for a lot of people but for me it's easy. It's what I have been brought up with. Going in the jungle will be so much harder.'

He is a character that people tend to love or hate and he says himself ‘I am not a people person. I like my own company and I like my own space. Hunger is what I’m dreading most. If I haven’t got food, I will get bored.'

Other celebrities going to face the jungle with Foggy are former BT Sport MotoGP presenter Melanie Sykes, newsreader Michael Buerk, footballer Jimmy Bullard, model and singer Nadia Forde, Corrie’s Craig Charles and rapper Tinchy Stryder.

The ITV show runs for 15 nights starting this Sunday, November 16, at 9pm.
