As one of the most anticipated movies of the summer, Wolverine hit UK cinemas last week, keep an eye out for the Ducati Diavel Cromo.

Alongside Hugh Jackman, the Ducati Diavel Cromo also makes an appearance in the new Wolverine movie.   As does the Audi R8, V10 Sypder and A8L, so it's not surprising that a Ducati also features in the film as Audi bought the famous Italian Ducati brand last year.

The Diavel was first introduced in 2012 and has proved to be a popular addition to Ducati's range, being a new concept whilst the heart of this beast is closely derived from the 1198 superbike engine.

Product placement is big business today and The Wolverine marks the first time the two brands have been featured in a cross-promo package together and has the makings of a match made in petrol heaven.

Ducati is also featured in Universal’s Kick Ass 2, which is due out on 14 August. In the film, Ducati's flagship superbike, the 1199 Panigale, was painted purple to match the costume of Chloe Grace Moretz’s Hit Girl character and gets some prominent screen time. Earlier this summer, Fast & Furious 6 featured the Ducati Monster 1100 Evo.

Not sure we'll see Johnny Depp on anything quite as fast in the Lone Ranger out on 9 August, but that's a different kind of horse power.
