Ducati 899 Panigale Best Selling Bike in December!

The Ducati 899 Panigale has topped the UK registrations list in December 2013, beating motorcycles costing one fifth of its £12,500 price tag.

The Ducati 899 Panigale has topped the UK registrations list in December 2013, beating motorcycles costing one fifth of its £12,500 price tag.

Whilst December is a month full of traditions, it's not usually the month you expect to be the best selling for superbike purchases.  The Motor Cycle Industry Association (MCIA) figures confirm that Ducati sold 128 Panigale 899s which was 14 more than the second-placed CBF 125 and 39 more than the third-placed PCX 125.

The success of the £12,495 motorcycle which beat Honda’s CBF 125 and PCX 125, both of which cost £2,600 is put down to the positive reviews of the long-awaited ‘entry’ version of the hyper-performance Panigale range.  It's been described as the most complete sports bike yet from Ducati.

A UK spokesman for Ducati also pointed to a good finance deal as another reason persuading bikers to give themselves an generous Christmas present.
