Overview

The turning point

Orchestra of unprecedented power

Since the early 2000’s Kawasaki was working on the next generation of their engines. Goal was to find a solution to ever tightening and more rigorous pollution and noise emission regulation without negatively impacting the performance fuel consumption and the rider experience. Being in the fortunate position of having multiple subsidiaries that specialise in aerospace engineering, ship building, manufacture of robotics and artificial intelligence solutions Kawasaki was able to think outside of the box. Using in house knowledge and manufacturing methods, they were able to construct a supercharged engine, capable of staggering power and torque figures. Ninja H2R is the fruit of those efforts. Being the defacto a prototype vehicle to the road going “H” series bikes, displaying the very top of the capability of the platform Ninja H2R is not a road legal machine.

Concept

Kawasaki Brutal Performance

Beautiful and demented machine

Set to be the pinnacle of motorcycle performance, the Ninja H2R is a supercharged motorcycle masterpiece. Created with cooperation from across the engineering and technology scope of Kawasaki Heavy Industries, the Ninja H2R matches cutting-edge engine, performance, the highest quality chassis dynamics and a host of craftsmanship details to create a new two-wheel icon. This Vehicle is not manufactured for public road use.

Design

Unique and unprecedented.

A feast for the senses.

In order to celebrate this milestone of Kawasaki bike design Ninja H2R doesn’t shy away from using the absolutely top of the line materials. The phrase “built beyond belief” was at the centre of the design. There was an extensive use of carbon fiber, titanium and high grade aerospace metals. Everything from the perfectly machined wheels, single sided swinging arm, through the gorgeous green spark paint on the trellis frame, all the way to the now famous mirror paint that utilises real silver flake in order to achieve its chrome silver look with self healing coating. This machine evokes feeling of luxury with lushful details throughout the bike. The looks, the sound and the world bending performance this bike stimulates all of your senses.

Engine

Supercharged Madness

Mind boggling power at your fingertips.

H2R engine is more than just a powerplant of a motorcycle. It is a work of art. The performance, top speed and acceleration is simply brutal. Chirping of the supercharger being the only reminder that you are not in fact atop a missile. Surprisingly however, thanks to a cutting edge electronics, this insane amount of power and torque is actually as easily manageable as a motorcycle with 326bhp can be. With latest Bosch Internal Measuring Unit (IMU) at the heart of multiple Kawasaki rider aid systems. Ninja H2R’s nuclear-esque power can be controlled by a mere mortal despite producing power and torque far greater than those of MotoGP bikes.

Transmission

Dog-Ring

Gearing beyond belief

To facilitate smooth, quick shifting, a dog-ring type transmission was selected. This is the kind of transmission commonly found in MotoGP or Formula 1, and was developed with feedback from the Kawasaki Racing Team.

Kawasaki River Mark

A true icon

The history maker

Special permission was obtained to use the River Mark on the Ninja H2R. Usually, its use on a product is reserved for models of historical significance.

Riding Position

Circuit inspired positioning

Designed to take off

The riding position was designed for riding at ultra-high speed and circuit riding. To help support the rider during intense acceleration, hipsupporting pads flank the rear of the seat. The hip support is adjustable 15 mm backward to suit rider size.

Exhaust

Full titanium system

Music to all bike enthusiasts

All-titanium exhaust system has a very simple design consisting of the header and collector pipes, a joint pipe, and a straightpipe megaphone-style silencer.
