Overview

Perfect place to start

Ideal bike for those who are new to biking.

As with the Ninja 650 and Kawasaki Z650, The Kawasaki Z650RS  is a bike that will not only suit those new to motorcycling but has plenty to offer those that are experienced. This is a bike that will keep you interested and you will want to own for a long time to come. Restriction for A2 Licence compliancy is available on request.

Concept

Energize

Strong, compact package.

Like its naked brother, the Z650, the superbly balanced Kawasaki Z650RS offers sugomi performance and styling in a slim, compact middleweight package that features a 650cc Parallel Twin engine with strong low-mid range torque in a lightweight chassis. Engine refinements contribute to cleaner emissions and increased mid-range torque, new tyres offer lighter handling. Sharp styling, highlighted by a LED headlight and modern but retro instrumentation, gives this modern classic an even stronger sugomi presence.

Design

The Sugomi Philosophy

Beauty in technology

The Sugomi design philosophy is strongly utilised throughout the bike. Unmistakable resemblances to the original icon from the 70’s. Low headlight and high tail are a staple of the Z design. In addition, in line with the rest of the family of Z bikes, engine and exhaust on display for those who truly appreciate the beauty that comes from mechanical excellence. Don’t forget the duckbill tailpiece!!

Engine

Unmistakable heartbeat

Legendary Kawasaki twin cylinder engine.

The beating heart of the Z650RS is the 649cc motor. The noise of a 90 degree crank, twin cylinder, dual overhead cam, four stroke Kawasaki engine is unmistakable to all enthusiasts of motorcycling. Tried, tested and loved by many powerplant is at the centre of the bike design. Increased mid-range performance comes from redesigned exhaust which allows the bike to pass through the rigorous Euro5 emissions limits. Making for smoother and more usable power delivery.

Frame

Trellis frame

Light handling

One of the key contributors to the Z650RS’ light weight (noticeable as soon as the bike is lifted off its sidestand) is its innovative trellis frame. Weighing 13.5 kg, it contributes significantly to the bike’s light, natural handling.

Styling

Timeless attraction

Retrovolution

Like Kawasaki’s retro sport Z900RS, the Z650RS features timeless good looks. As a middleweight model, a light and casual appearance reflects its rider-friendly character. The appeal of a traditional motorcycle is complemented by simple and modern design touches that allow the Z650RS to blend seamlessly into your everyday life.

Wheels

Spoked rims

Lightweight

Original cast wheels like those of the Z900RS feature flat spokes designed to look like classic wire-spoked wheels. Designed using Kawasaki’s advanced analysis technology, the wheels offer a balance of light weight and stylish looks, contributing to both handling and a design suited to the retro category.

Riding position

Relaxing ride

Maximum comfort

Wide, flat handlebar and a relaxed riding position puts the rider in a natural, comfortable position that both inspires confidence and facilitates control for a wide range of riders.
