Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX 2020

Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX, Ninja 1000SX Tourer & Ninja 1000SX Performance

Big update to the Kawasaki Z1000SX bike is now rebranded as Ninja 1000SX given the fact that it is more in line with the Kawasaki Supersport range than Supernaked. This big update was driven by big advances in technology of recent years, they all made their way on to the new bike.

As it is the case with most bikes in the new Kawasaki range, the electronic assists were at a center stage of the upgrades. Ridability and more importantly safety were paramount to the changes.

KCMF (Kawasaki Cornering Management Function) is combining the ABS and KTRC (Kawasaki TRaction Control) Systems to ensure safe and smooth transitions from deceleration to acceleration through corners.

New TFT Dash with Bluetooth connectivity allows for easier operation and set up of the bike, using the updated swichgears or the Kawasaki Rideology App. It also displays an array of useful parameters of the bike.

Electronic Cruise Control, an addition of the electronically operated valves allows for the cruise control system to be featured on the Ninja 1000 as standard, making munching miles even easier.

KQS (Kawasaki Quick Shifter) very welcome feature, which is becoming a more and more popular addition on all bikes, is included as standard on the Ninja 1000SX. KQS allows for clutchless upshifts and downshifts. Making acceleration and deceleration smoother and more intuitive.

Kawasaki did not stop there, the new Ninja 1000SX has with the use of an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) improved traction control, ABS and engine mapping taking the forces produced on cornering, slowing and accelerating into account. The result is that transitions from braking to accelerating (and vice-versa) are much smoother ensuring that the bike maintains the best levels of traction throughout.

In addition to the major upgrades to the electronic features of the bike, rider and passanger comfort is enhanced even further with improved fairings, which also make the Ninja look sharper and more sporty, thicker and more ergonomically shaped passanger seat, and new windscreen allow for more comfortable long distance trips.

The braking system on this new Ninja 1000SX is taken from the mighty H2 and ZX10R. Utilising the latest in Bosch ABS technology it provides a multi level control of the ABS delivering just the right amount of braking at just the right time - every time.

Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX Tourer version comes as standard with colour coded panniers that have removable inner bags, a Kawasaki Sat-Nav bracket and a model specific tank pad whereas the Ninja 1000SX Performance comes with a pair of performance enhancing Akrapovic exhaust and a colour coded seat cowl.

e) Any competitive racing or related use.

f) Any damage or consequential damage caused by accident or by owner's or operator's neglect or abuse.

g) Improper storage or deterioration from the elements.
