Japanese Universal Motorcycle

Homage to the original Kawasaki Classic.

Kawasaki Z900RS Cafe and its sister version Kawasaki Z900RS are a Kawasaki love letter to the original 1972 Kawasaki Z1 and 1976 Kawasaki Z2, not only did the original bikes broke multiple records they also are considered some of the most influential and defining motorcycles of all time. Building a motorcycle that would be a fitting homage to the original was no easy task. However to much delight of the motorcycling community Kawasaki has done an outstanding job. The Z900RS Cafe doesn’t only work as a “Retro” bike. In its own right it is a spectacular bike that puts many of the contemporary supernakeds to shame.

As the Classic and Retro style bikes gained popularity throughout the 2010’s Kawasaki realised that they have to respond to the growing segment. They also realised they will need to take their bike’s style and quality to another level to make a real impact within the modern retro category. With gorgeous paint schemes, closely replicating the original patterns, countless details, such as tear drop shaped tank, “duckbill” tail, bikini fairing, analogue clocks, air cooling like fins on the side of the engine and stainless steel polished exhaust to name just a few, it’s safe to say that Kawasaki has created something really special.
