Let the Motorcycle Season Begin

I think everyone will agree it’s been a long cold and particularly chilly winter, not the weather for motorcycling, but that’s all about to change.

I think everyone will agree it’s been a long cold and particularly chilly winter, not the weather for motorcycling, but that’s all about to change.

The clocks went back on Sunday so we get a little bit longer to enjoy the daylight when we get home from work and it’s only going to get better.

It’s also the first round of British Superbikes at Brands Hatch this weekend (5, 6, 7 April) and as most BSB fans will agree its one of the most anticipated seasons of recent times.  With championship heavyweights Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne on a Kawasaki ZX10 and Ryuichi Kiyonari both having their sights set on opening wins, but it’s not a foregone conclusion, as there's a host of young guns and international opposition ready to take them on.  We're looking forward to watching it unfold this year.

Another bonus, apparently the weather (important if you are a fair weather biker) is set to improve at the weekend as well.  Don't get too excited but it could be reaching the dizzy heights of 8 degrees and zero chance of rain on Saturday locally.  So why not take inspiration from the track and let’s see if we can get our bikes uncovered and take a ride to ‘kick start’ the motorcycle riding season.

It is way overdue………enjoy.
