The Ducati Multistrada 1100 & 1100S
|
*** |
Individuality, Versatily and Practicality are three words that spring to mind.
The tall stance of the Multistrada 1100 along with its upright riding position give an uncompromised view of the road ahead. The riding position assisting in the ability to flick this slender chassis through the tightest of chicanes. In town these attributes assist again. The long travel suspension offers excellent comfort for both rider and pillion, simply absorbing any challenge from cobbles to pot holes. In fact the Multistrada has few boundaries with regard to application - Thus "Practicality".
As with the ST3 series, the 50% reduction in maintenance for the 2007 Multistrada 1100 makes this a most viable choice for even the highest of mileage users.
The very individual styling positively stands out in the crowd from the modular front fairing to the high exit twin rear exhaust outlets through to the single sided monoshock swingarm. This bike really does have its own personality.
Powered by the Desmo 1100 L-Twin engine torque and power are available in a plentiful supply. The dual spark system of this new engine aids to increase the fuel economy and offers excellent punchy response to rider demands.
The fully adjustable suspension on the Ducati Multistrada allows for optimised setups for all road conditions and/or ride styles. The vibration isolated handlebars simply add to rider comfort for those all-day rides.
The Multistrada 1100S version boasts uprated suspension which includes an Ohlins rear shock and forks (The forks being TiN coated), lightweight tapered handlebars, carbon fibre cam belt covers and carbon front mudguard. All aimed at accentuating the "Sports" aspect of the Multistrada's character.
