Since the very successful introduction of the new Monster 696, Ducati have naturally extended this range to include the Monster 1100 / S and now the Monster 796.
The air cooled L-twin engined Monster 796 is physically slightly bigger than the 696 and although slightly more powerful, it is still an excellent all rounder for both experienced and new riders alike.
The Single sided swing arm offers furteht rigidity to an already excellent chassis.
What's been changed in comparison to the Monster 696 ? ........
- Handlebar position is now slightly higher and further back.
- An all new Single sided Aluminium swing arm that has stiffened the chassis for improved handling and feedback.
- Improved engine performance thanks to the additional cubic capacity offered by the all new engine
These are only the major changes to the new Ducati Monster 796.................................

APTC CLUTCH
The new Ducati Monster 796 continues to use the APTC clutch
The Adler Power Torque Clutch, a Ducati exclusive, makes the Monster 696 even friendlier, safer and more comfortable. It provides a clutch pull that is amazingly light, while also including ‘slipper’ clutch benefits. A ‘slipper’ clutch, typically found on race bikes, benefits the rider by reducing the destabilizing rear wheel ‘lock-up’ or ‘chatter’ phenomenon when downshifting aggressively. It also benefits advanced riders, and racers alike, for the very same reasons.
