The Ducati Hypermotard 1100 EVO & EVO SP

***

Click to see the MCN Hypermotard Test and review of the original Hypermotard for yourself...It speaks volumes...

The Ducati Hypermotard 1100 EVO - It is everything as good as the press have said. A combination of Supermotard stance combined with a sportsbike L-Twin 1100cc engine produces the end result of a machine that is slim, light, flickable and extremely powerfull. The seating position of the Ducati Hypermotard gives the rider true command of the road ahead.

Come and see the Ducati Hypermotard 1100 EVO in the flesh as the pictures simply do not do it justice.

Whether aimed at the mountain cut throughs or launching from the lights, the Ducati Hypermotard offers the lot. With the broadest spectrum of capabilites on two wheels it will leave you wondering why the Hypermotard this not thought of before.

Unlike any other Supermotard, the Ducati Hypermotard offers speeds in excess of 130mph (Off road of course). With its power output exceeding 95bhp it really packs a punch. The fact that the Hypermotard is propelled by the 1100 "Sportsbike" engine assures a smooth ride that you would expect from any other fuel injected road bike.

Over the top?............... Absolutely !!

This is an extreme in the world of motorcycling, built for action and guaranteed to get the blood pumping.

The wide handlebars offer excellent two way information transfer, giving copious amounts of feedback to the rider whilst reacting instantly to the tiniest amounts of countersteer that may be applied. The seating arrangement on the Ducati Hypermotard begs for rider participation, instantly driving you to move around in the seat. Slide forward for fast tip into bends and back for added traction on exit.

The distinct Ducati Trellis frame gives rigidity way beyond what would be expected of this type of machine, complimented by the huge 50mm Marzochi forks , fully adjustable Sachs rear shock absorber and a single sided swingarm. Lightweight Marchesini wheels ensure that unsprung weight is kept to a minimum. Whilst the chassis geometry is based upon that of a sportsbike ensuring excellent stability at speeds. The careful combination of these gives the feeling of grip, grip - and more grip.

To ensure that it stops as well as it goes, the Ducati Hypermotard boasts radially mounted four piston Brembo calipers, twin lightweight 305mm front discs and a 245mm disc on the rear.

The Ducati Desmo engine delivers a smooth linear powercurve backed up by potent torque figures that promise gutsy mid range usable drive transferred to the rear wheel via the racing style dry clutch. The Desmo 1100 engine has charmed journalists across the globe who have claimed it to be the perfect motorcycle engine.

The Ducati Hypermotard 1100 EVO SP

There is OTT, there is Extreme...... and then there is the Ducati Hypermotard 1100 EVO SP

For those that thought the 1100 EVO sounded like the perfect package, just take a look at what the Ducati Hypermotard 1100 EVO SP has to offer in addition:

Marzocchi 50mm forks with trick, low friction, Titanium Nitride (TiN) coating on the sliders and a race-spec Öhlins fully adjustable shock at the rear for fantastic road holding. The Incredible stopping force of Brembo Monobloc calipers and lightweight machine finished forged-aluminium wheels complete the awesome chassis set-up, while carbon fibre fork protectors, timing belt covers, rear tail section and front fender show-off its ‘S’ status.

Having fitted the 2-1 full termi system and race ECU that is comes with we have not only added another 6 or so BHP, but improved the punch and drive that was already available in copius amounts.

The Ducati Hypermotard specific high lift cam shafts have arrived and are in. Pushing top end power yet further allowing the bike to rev out further in top gear - What more do you need. This bike is as near perfect as I think you can get.
